POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager plays a central role in delivering successful signage projects by overseeing all phases from concept through completion. This position ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction. Serving as a key point of coordination between sales, design, production, installation, vendors, and subcontractors, the Project Manager ensures seamless execution and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition to managing schedules, resources, and budgets, the Project Manager provides critical sales and pre-production support, including obtaining pricing, building estimates, and coordinating procurement needs. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with zoning, permitting, and regulatory requirements, upholding company and industry standards, and proactively identifying and resolving challenges to keep projects moving forward efficiently and successfully.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Execution
- Oversee all phases of signage projects, from initial concept to final installation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Assess project requirements, allocate resources effectively, and manage schedules to maximize efficiency
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of signage types, materials, and fabrication methods
- Prepare, update, and maintain quotes, proofs, and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
- Complete zoning checks, secure permits, and ensure compliance with local regulations
Team Coordination
- Lead project kickoff meetings with design, production, and installation teams to align goals and expectations
- Monitor progress throughout each stage, addressing issues promptly and keeping all stakeholders informed
- Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors for fabrication, delivery, and installation needs
- Schedule and oversee installations, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification
- Facilitate pre-installation meetings as needed to review scope, site readiness, and next steps
Client Communication
- Provide proactive updates and status reports, addressing client concerns and incorporating feedback into project workflows
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity on project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring expectations are met or exceeded at every stage
Quality Assurance & Problem Solving
- Verify that all projects meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company quality standards
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure accuracy in design, fabrication, and installation
- Partner with receiving staff to confirm vendor materials arrive complete and undamaged
- Conduct site visits to confirm readiness and resolve potential challenges before installation
- Anticipate risks and obstacles, collaborating with team members to develop proactive solutions
- Lead brainstorming and troubleshooting sessions to adapt plans and address unexpected issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management, receiving, and procurement functions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions
- Demonstrated teamwork orientation with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor
- Mechanical aptitude and solid mathematical skills to support technical aspects of signage projects
- Highly organized with strong time management skills

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse personalities and teams
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred
- 3-5 years of project management experience, or equivalent, preferably in the signage or printing industry
- Must have valid driver’s license
