Maintenance Technician/Handyman at STOW-KENT ANIMAL HOSPITAL INC – Kent, Ohio

Position Overview:
Stow Kent Animal Hospital is seeking a reliable, Maintenance Tech/Handyman to support the upkeep and functionality of our three local veterinary clinic locations. This role is ideal for someone who is self-sufficient, resourceful, and experienced in a wide range of maintenance tasks. The right candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our staff, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across all three clinic locations
• Assist with minor electrical troubleshooting and advising
• Handle basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Complete painting projects and facility touch-ups as needed
• Perform routine building and grounds maintenance tasks
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Identify potential issues and proactively recommend solutions
• Coordinate larger repairs or specialized services when needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or related field
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair practices
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to travel between locations
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required

Tools & Equipment:

• Candidate is expected to provide their own tools and equipment (limited tools provided on-site)

Schedule & Flexibility:

• Flexible scheduling available, full-time or part-time, a minimum of 25-30 hours per week is preferred
• Work will be performed across our three local clinic locations as needed
