Job Description
Description:
- Receives, accessions and labels biopsies with high accuracy.
- Assists in specimen disposal, reagent changes and supply restocking.
- Prepares cassettes for grossing team.
- Files slides and blocks following lab protocols.
- Assists in slide drying, cover slipping and transporting of completed slides.
- Scans slides using the Philips scanner and troubleshoot when there are errors.
- Cleans and disinfects work areas, equipment surfaces and instruments when asked by the LM.
- Assists in QA/QC activities and document external errors from clinics.
- Reconciles all patient information with paperwork from clinics, with high attention to detail.
