DIXIE METAL PRODUCTS – Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Project Manager

Dixie Metal Products (“Dixie) is seeking a Project Manager to lead structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects serving water and wastewater infrastructure and utility clients. The project manager will own each project from award through delivery, serving as the central point of coordination between customers, drafting, the fabrication shop, and accounting.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

· Plan, implement, and track water and wastewater infrastructure projects involving structural steel and miscellaneous metals (platforms, stairs, handrails, ladders, grating, embeds, custom weldments, and similar).

· Manage project schedules, budgets, and scope from kickoff through closeout.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, and engineers.

· Coordinate daily with the Drafting Department, Fabrication Shop, and Accounting to keep projects moving.

· Manage shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

· Review contract documents and drawings to confirm scope and identify risks early.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 2+ years of experience in project management or a similar role, preferably in steel fabrication, metals manufacturing, or construction.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including structural and miscellaneous metals drawings.

· Familiarity with shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.

· Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

· Local to Ocala, FL area.
