GSE Mechanic at NextGen GHS, LLC – Colorado Springs, Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT (COS) this is an ON SITE position only.

NextGen Deicing at our Colorado Springs Airport utilizes the latest proven aircraft deicing technology that focuses on both safety and environmental efficiencies. It strives to be innovative in its approach while ensuring that all treated aircraft take off safely.

NextGen Deicing has a fleet of Deicing Trucks that are equipped with the latest technology available to the industry.

NextGen Deicing is looking for a FT Maintenance Mechanic to join their safety conscious and innovative deicing team! Pay will depend on experience and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance on deice trucks, systems, and GSE equipment.
• Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
• Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
• Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative maintenance to all equipment.
• Perform assessments and alert clients on issues.
• Ensure the shop area is kept clean and free of hazards at all times.

Mechanic Requirements:

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and hydraulic systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualifications.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
