Job Description
Under general supervision, performs technical and data entry work in the Commissioner of the Revenue's Department. Work involves inputting data to generate computerized designs using special software. Work also involves assisting the appraisal department staff answering the telephone and providing information. Employee is also responsible for preparing real estate appraisal cards for field use. Employee is also responsible for maintaining a variety of records and files. Employee must exercise independent judgment and initiative. Reports to the Office Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Enters sketches of appraised property in computer using drafting software; reviews all computer generated designs for completeness and accuracy.
Prepares real estate assessment cards for use by appraisers in the field; computes and records on cards sale price, tax and ratios; attaches appropriate map; examines completed cards submitted by appraisers, ensures all items are completed and accurate.
Enters data in computer system for the generation of appraisal cards.
Establishes and maintains a variety of files.
Serves as Secretary for Chief Appraiser, Office Manager, and Appraisers; assists appraisal staff in all clerical duties.
Types material, which requires use a of a variety of complicated formats for preparing correspondence, lists, labels, memos, etc.; assumes responsibility for correctness of spelling, punctuation, format and grammar.
Answers phone, greets visitors, provides information or refers to appropriate personnel.
