Outpatient Services Technician - Kenai Health Center at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: The Outpatient Services Technician (OPST) performs clerical, receptionist, phlebotomy, registration and exam scheduling duties at the Kenai Health Center. Gathers pertinent information to admit patients into the hospital EHR; accepts payment or arranges for payment on accounts upon patient discharge; performs clerical support for the Patient Access Services as well as Patient Financial Services. Works as a team member in planning, coordinating, organizing and maintaining service/patient flow for a progressive imaging service which promotes and reflects the mission of the services of Central Peninsula Hospital. Maintains a positive customer service attitude when performing all duties. Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one experience working in office setting
• Phlebotomy within 6 months
• BLSP within 30 days

PREFERRED:

• 2 years Clerical -General Office in Medical Office Setting
