Qualifications

Education

• Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited program of nursing
  • Associate's degree in nursing
• Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing

Experience:

• Preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in nursing

Certification/Licensure:

• Emergency Department
  • Required
    • Registered Nurse (RN), with Authorization to Practice in the State of Texas
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationRequired within ninety (90) days of start date
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CertificationRequired within one (1) year of start date
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) CertificationRequired within one (1) year of start date
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CertificationRequired within one (1) year of start date
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)Required within two (2) years of start date
