Senior IBM Power, AIX, Storage & Backup Engineer – Bilingual (English/Spanish) in Guatemala at GBM

Senior SysAdmin to install, configure and troubleshoot IBM Power Systems (AIX, PowerVM, LPAR), integrate Storwize/FlashSystem storage via SAN switches, and manage Commvault backup/restore, providing OS-level support to the client’s team.

Responsabilidades:

1. Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot IBM Power Systems, AIX, PowerVM and LPARs, ensuring OS-level health and availability and supporting the Oracle DBA team with the servers they require.
2. Administer IBM Storwize/FlashSystem storage and its integration with servers via SAN switches (preferably Brocade), including provisioning, zoning, multipathing and storage incident resolution.
3. Manage Commvault backup and restore operations, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and document all services in the company’s official knowledge management documents.

Requisitos:

• Experiencia: 5+ years administering enterprise infrastructure: IBM Power, AIX, PowerVM/LPAR, Storwize/FlashSystem and Commvault. Desirable: Brocade SAN switches and production support.
• Formación: Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Conocimientos técnicos: Preferred: IBM Certified Technical Specialist (Power Systems/AIX), IBM FlashSystem/Storage Virtualize, Commvault Certified Professional. Desirable: Brocade SAN certification, ITIL Foundation. Equivalent proven experience accepted.
