Job Description

About SureTruck Fleet Services:

SureTruck Fleet Services is building a differentiated network of high-quality commercial truck repair shops and mobile service providers focused on delivering reliable inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair services for small and mid-sized commercial fleets.

The commercial truck repair market is large, fragmented, and increasingly professionalizing as fleets demand higher uptime, regulatory compliance, and dependable service partners. At the same time, many independent repair shop owners have built strong businesses but lack the infrastructure, capital, and systems required to scale across multiple locations.

SureTruck partners with leading independent repair operators and integrates them into a performance-driven operating platform designed to elevate shop performance and deliver consistent, high-quality services to fleet customers. The platform provides operational best practices and performance metrics, centralized parts procurement and vendor relationships, technology and shop management systems, and technician recruiting, training, and development support.

Our model is designed to help great independent repair shops grow and scale while preserving their local leadership, culture, and customer relationships. By combining strong operators with disciplined acquisitions, operational rigor, and shared infrastructure, SureTruck is building a national platform that helps fleets maximize uptime while giving shop owners the tools and resources to expand their businesses.

The Role:

SureTruck Fleet Services is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Clerk to join our corporate finance team. This role will handle the centralized accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing for every SureTruck shop, serving as a key point of contact for shop managers, vendors, and customers.

Our corporate team runs AP, AR, and weekly payroll for all locations from a single office, and each new acquisition adds volume to that work. The Accounting Clerk will keep these processes running on a steady daily, weekly, and monthly rhythm across multiple shop management systems, while helping newly acquired shops transition into SureTruck’s systems and procedures.

Given the fast pace of the platform, accuracy, organization, and comfort working across several systems at once are essential. The ideal candidate enjoys recurring deadlines, follows through on the details, and communicates clearly and courteously with people across the organization.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing platform at a pivotal stage of expansion and to help build the accounting processes that will support its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable for all shops, including loading purchase orders, matching vendor bills, preparing weekly payment runs, and reconciling monthly vendor statements.

• Manage accounts receivable, including submitting invoices through FMC and large-customer portals, applying payments, reconciling deposits, and following up on past-due balances.

• Process weekly payroll in Paylocity, including collecting hours and bonuses from shop managers and setting up new hires and benefits.

• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in NetSuite and assist with month-end close and reconciliations.

• Support the onboarding of newly acquired shops into corporate AP, AR, and payroll processes.

• Serve as a point of contact for shop managers, vendors, and customers on billing, payment, and payroll questions.

• Help maintain procedures and recommend process improvements, and participate in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or payroll, ideally in a multi-location business.

• Experience with NetSuite, Ramp, and Paylocity, or similar ERP, spend management, and payroll systems, preferred.

• Strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of account reconciliations.

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage high transaction volume against recurring deadlines.

• Clear, professional communication skills and discretion with confidential information.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment.
