Deburring 1 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois at ERA Industries

Duties & expectations:

• Debur components by method of hand or mechanical device in a safe, productive and quality manner.

• Clean parts per supervisor or work instructions.

• Document work on in-process inspection plans, production log, router and ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and quality records.

• Keep clean and organized work area.

• Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor.

• Look to continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.

• Willing to work in a team environment.

• Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether your own or company supplied, if not in proper calibration notify quality department to have corrected immediately.

• Handle inspection equipment, machines and parts in a manner that will not cause damage.

• Maintain FOD awareness and report any incidents to the department manager.

• In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, may be asked to do any of the following but not limited to: Operator, Inventory control, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving, Assembly

• Maintain a positive attitude.

• Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.

Qualifications:

• Willing to learn from a skilled deburr hand

• Trained on the use of hand scrapers to remove sharp edges

• Use of Scotch-Brite or similar pads to remove burrs and polish parts

• Ability to use eye loop to inspect for burrs
