  • Develop, maintain, and update safety policies, procedures, and training materials.

  • Coordinate and deliver employee safety training, including new-hire orientation, refresher training, and job-specific safety requirements.

  • Lead investigations of workplace accidents, near misses, and reported safety concerns, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.

  • Maintain required OSHA records, incident reports, training documentation, inspection records, and other compliance materials.

  • Oversee workplace safety practices involving personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard communication, chemical handling, equipment safety, and emergency preparedness.

Environmental Compliance & Hazardous Waste Management

  • Own and manage the company's hazardous waste compliance program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), including applicable Small Quantity Generator (SQG) requirements.

  • Maintain required hazardous waste documentation, including manifests, inspection records, training records, and applicable regulatory reports.

  • Monitor hazardous waste accumulation limits, storage conditions, and regulatory deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain procedures for chemical handling, spill response, and environmental compliance.

  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews and implement corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.

Program Administration & Operational Partnership

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for workplace safety and environmental compliance matters.

  • Partner with Operations leadership to evaluate workplace practices, address identified hazards, and implement sustainable safety improvements.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources on workplace injury investigations, workers' compensation matters, return-to-work coordination, and injury prevention initiatives.

  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and compliance reviews, including documentation requests and corrective action follow-up.

  • Monitor changes in applicable safety and environmental regulations and recommend necessary program updates.

  • Track safety performance, recurring hazards, training completion, and corrective action progress.

  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership regarding safety risks, compliance status, and improvement opportunities.
