About This Position
Job Summary
The Radiology Services Scheduler schedules patients for all services as directed, prepares minutes, enters daily charges, conducts follow-up phone calls as assigned, organizes charts and communications/disseminates information to appropriate personnel. Performs related work as required. Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for primarily scheduling procedures to be performed in the IR suites including but not limited to Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery and Cardiac.
- Ensures all bookings and charts are complete, prepares, and shares with Anesthesia and Medical approval as needed.
- Address and resolve scheduling issues or conflicts promptly.
- Maintains various programmatic schedules as needed (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Assists Management as needed.
- Completes work in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with physicians.
- Maintains neat and orderly necessary files. Pickup and distributes mail accordingly when needed.
- Responsible for typing all unit /department meeting minutes and confidential correspondence.
- Performs other related office duties including cross coverage for radiology department, as requested by manager.
- Ability to utilize the EMR effectively and optimally and other computer-based applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of customer relations skills and communication techniques required to interact effectively with all patient populations.
- Integrates the standards of excellence into daily practice.

Minimum Education/Certifications
High School Graduation or equivalent. One year of experience. Training in PC based automated word processing systems, PC, or mainframe-based database management programs. Requires knowledge of medical or equally complex terminology.
Physical Requirements:
Routine office tasks involving occasional stooping or bending to access files or shelves. Ability to maintain a stationary position for extended time periods.

- Must be able to work under constant pressure independently.
