About This Position

The Banquet Captain serves as the on-site leader, ensuring flawless execution and elevated service standards throughout a diverse array of events, ensuring timely and accurate room set up and food and beverage service.
Duties
- Presents a positive and professional manner while ensuring that the presentation of all food and beverage is in accordance with banquet order.
- Greets event contacts upon arrival; retains a visible presence throughout the event; resolves guest conflict and answers questions to the customer’s satisfaction. Maintains consistent communication with leadership.
- Trains new and veteran banquet staff in operational and company expectations, procedures and policies.
- Conducting on site banquet event order meetings prior to each event.
- Manages company owned equipment, cleaning, storing and security.
- Communicates any maintenance, equipment and safety issues to the management.
- Other related job duties as assigned.
- Valid and unexpired Alcohol Certification for Boise required.
- Knowledge of catering service standards; previous Captain experience preferred.
- Ability to monitor waitstaff while coordinating duties and directing them with efficiency.
- Engagement with guests and group contacts to exceed expectations
- Detail oriented and capable of following banquet event orders and room set guidelines to exact specifications.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods and able to lift, carry and manipulate various items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving event setups, etc).
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the property.
