Maintenance Technician at Digital Room LLC – Solon, Ohio

We are actively hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician for our plant in Solon, OH.

3RD Shift: Sunday - Thursday (Shift Differential $2 more an hour)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES

Equipment Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
• Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

• Responding to equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively troubleshoot the root cause of the problem.
• Analyze malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems and improve machine performance.
  

Calibration and Testing:

• Calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accurate operation and adherence to quality standards.
• Perform regular testing and inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and quality control requirements.
• Conduct performance evaluations and make necessary adjustments to optimize machine efficiency.

Maintenance Planning and Documentation:

• Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, guidelines, and manuals.
• Create and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to procure the necessary parts and equipment.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other maintenance technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing status updates, reports, and recommendations.
• Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or a similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a good understanding of machine operation and control systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to machine maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
• Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
