About This Position

We have an opening for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join the company. Acting as the bridge between Sales and Production, and interfacing daily with key account contacts who are responsible large scale orders on an annual basis, the right person for this role will be expected to have extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to pro-actively identify problems and potential solutions and will have a prior background working in an ERP platform, preferably Oracle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Communicates with customers by phone, email or in person and receives orders.
  • Enter and maintain customer orders and forecasts on system and works with other departments to ensure on time delivery, adjusting dates on customer orders as needed.
  • Represent Voice of the Customer with Operations, Engineering, Finance, & Sales.
  • Works closely with customers to identify and understand current workflows, utilizing a 80/20 mindset.
  • Proactively create more efficient methods to deliver excellent customer service with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Conducts meetings with line supervisors to discuss orders and identify current and future challenges.
  • Coordinate with engineering team to ensure successful planning and manufacturing of new prototype designs.
  • Tracks customer feedback in order to influence the product roadmap and maintain communication with clients to resolve product issues.
  • Identify opportunities and customer needs that will lead to new business.
  • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Assists with social media tasks, to include website and platform content updates.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies.
  • Supports senior leader in-house meetings/conferences by arranging for facilities and catering, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers, and controlling event budgets.
  • Performs clerical duties as needed, such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Background, Skills and Experience:

  • With High School diploma or equivalent, having 1 to 3 years of related work experience is a plus.
  • Prior work history with ERP order processing/planning resources (Oracle or other similar platforms).
  • Demonstrated capacity to use high level thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Analytical approach to resolving customer situations.
  • Ability to review data and write routine summary reports upon demand.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office including Word; Excel.
  • Demonstrate math proficiency as it relates to this job.
