About This Position

ENTEK is seeking applications for a Vice President of Finance and Accounting role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).

As VP of Finance and Accounting, you will report to the CFO and have responsibility for supporting the CFO and senior management with financial reporting, financial governance, and risk management across the global operations.

As a key leader in the company, you will be hands on in leading the Corporate finance team in the development, analysis, and interpretation of consolidated financial information in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS to present operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters.

You will focus on implementing appropriate financial controls and accounting processes in ENTEK's Japan and Indonesia operations to allow for more efficient reporting and insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for issuing timely, accurate, and complete financial statements in compliance with US GAAP across ENTEK's global operations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Developing an understanding between the foreign entity's generally accepted accounting principles and reconciling to US GAAP.
  • Lead the company's financial audit and tax process and ensure compliance across all reporting requirements.
  • Lead the analysis of and conclusion on technical accounting matters, including acquisitions, consolidation, compensation plans, leases, revenue recognition, and inventory management.
  • Perform technical accounting and accounting rules and regulations research to make recommendations regarding company policy, as well as to ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS guidelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the CFO with implementing hedging and risk management strategies for natural gas, interest rates, and foreign exchange risks.
  • Assess and communicate control performance status to management regularly.
  • Support the CFO with various treasury aspects, including covenant calculations and cash management initiatives.
  • Lead annual renewal process for insurance across the global portfolio.
  • Collaborate and provide training across all global finance teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and streamline processes.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and retain a highly skilled accounting team.
  • Understand ENTEK operation by spending time with key stakeholders across the business and analyzing key available information.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • A combination of 10-15 years of work experience in either Big 4 / Public accounting firms,/or other large manufacturing companies. Businesses, leading complex, international organizations, in developing consolidated financial reporting and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including US GAAP and a basic understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience leading financial audits and working with auditors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and eager to support others.
  • Adept at creative problem solving.
  • Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screening and pre-employment background check

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field; CPA is required.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) two to three weeks per quarter or as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background working in manufacturing or industrials.
  • ERP system implementation and/or experience with D365.

Working Environment

The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. This is an on-site role. Remote and/or Hybrid work is not available.

This role is in an office setting and frequently requires sitting, working at a computer, hearing, reaching, and completing tasks that require the use of hands and fingers for extended periods of time. The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand, walk, and may occasionally need to kneel, crouch, and climb stairs. If this role requires visiting the plant and/or shop floors, wearing eye and hearing protection will be required. The role requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
