Assisted Living Director at JFSHI, Inc. – Brown Deer, Wisconsin

At our assisted living facility, we provide residents with individualized care that improves their quality of life while they age in place. Our staff members work directly with our residents to ensure their safety and comfort, and are responsible for answering any questions or issues that arise. An ideal candidate for this position is a compassionate professional with strong communicative skills who can assist and encourage guests with several of their needs, such as medication reminders and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations and oversee operational staff;
• Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations;
• Oversee the employee life cycle and ensure all training is completed and documented;
• Provide support and assistance to fellow employees, especially in times of emergency or crisis.
• Assure coverage of floor and that all needs and assistance matters are handled;
• Communicate with resident families in case of a medical emergency or other issues;
• Be a liaison to caregivers, care managers, health care facilities, doctors, etc.;
• Maintain all systems and assure communication and care are facilitated in a compassionate and respectful manner;
• Work with the RN to perform all medication administration duties.

• Minimum of a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• At least 5 years experience in leading and managing an assisted living residential facility and staff
• Competency in use of electronic record keeping/reporting programs for an assisted living facility
• Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS, and hiring/retention processes
