The Baker Center, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate, is a nationally recognized multi-service children’s behavioral health and special education non-profit organization with an annual budget of approximately $29 million. In recent years, there have been many exciting changes, including an organization-wide rebrand. Many may remember our legal name, the Judge Baker Children’s Center. The Baker Center’s work, which promotes the best possible mental health of children and families, includes providing the highest quality behavioral healthcare and special education, conducting research, providing consultation and leadership in mental health policy and practice, and training and workforce development for the next generation of professionals.

The VP of Development is responsible for supporting the agency’s goals by managing the efforts to support the increase in revenue through successful fundraising campaigns, events, and donor outreach and cultivation. Working in close partnership with the President/CEO, senior management, and the Board of Trustees, the VP of Development will be responsible for all activities related to raising funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations. The position will take the lead in identifying new revenue streams and engage in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new prospects and donors. The VP of Development will work towards the three-year goal of securing 10% of the Baker Center’s annual revenue through fundraising efforts.
