What You'll Do

As a Field Service Specialist you'll be the trusted expert supporting Zeeco’s Vapor Recovery , Vapor Combustion and Marine Vapor Control Systems in your region. You’ll deliver critical field service response, including:

  • Preventative & Emergency Maintenance – Provide on-call, after-hours support (24/7) to troubleshoot and resolve unplanned equipment shutdowns, both onsite and remotely.
  • System Commissioning’s, Retrofits, & Upgrades – Help launch and improve new and existing vapor control and product loading equipment.
  • Tech-Driven Problem Solving – Apply electrical, mechanical, and automation skills to diagnose and fix issues using PLCs, software tools, and instrumentation.
  • Customer Service & Reporting – Build Customer relationships one-on-one and while at the site document and identify efficiently all service tasks, recommend system improvements, and ensure high-quality communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Compliance & Safety – Maintain and operate company-provided tools, assets, and vehicles, meet all safety requirements, and always put safety first—yours and others.

Your Toolbox Should Include:

  • Self Starter – focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work directly with the current and potential customers one-on-one.
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task at times when multiple customers have requests.
  • Strong mechanical skills background and aptitude.
  • Electrical skills equivalent to Journeyman level or a 2-year instrumentation engineering certificate.
  • Work experience that shows work in instrumentation, electrical and controls repair and replacement for 4+ years in a similar field.
  • Excellent ability to decipher mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, basic programming, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Strong working knowledge of VFD, recorders, HMI’s and associated controls and proficiency with determining and isolating problems within the systems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook), tablets, and reporting tools
  • Clear, professional communication skills (both written and verbal)

What We’re Looking For

  • Education & Experience:
    High school diploma plus:
    • A 2-year technical certificate, or
    • Journeyman electrical license, or
    • 4+ years of field service experience
      Military experience in Electrical or Mechatronics is a strong plus!
  • Physical Requirements:
    Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders/stairs, stoop, bend, work in tight limited movement areas, stand for long periods of the day, and perform tasks in extreme weather and confined spaces while wearing PPE.
  • Mental & Emotional Readiness:
    You’ll need strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and the emotional intelligence to handle challenging or stressful customer situations.
  • Driver’s License:
    Valid and clean—this role includes driving a company-provided vehicle to customer sites.
  • TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Card) -will need to apply and receive within 6 weeks of 1st day working
  • DISA/ ISNET World qualified- Ability to be entered and accepted for work within ISNet World and DISA safety protocols.
