The Opportunity Engagement Team Specialist plays a key role in optimizing the sales pipeline by evaluating, qualifying, and routing business opportunities to the appropriate internal teams. This position combines technical document analysis, data management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are assessed accurately and efficiently. You will review complex requests for proposals (RFPs), installation scopes, and technical specifications covering physical security, networking, audiovisual systems, and electrical services. By leveraging approved AI tools and Salesforce, you will help identify project requirements, assess opportunity suitability, and support informed business decisions. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys technical problem-solving, structured processes, and working in a collaborative, technology-driven environment.

Accountabilities
  • Opportunity Evaluation and Routing: Collaborate with sales and operations teams to evaluate incoming opportunities and direct them to the appropriate internal departments according to established leadership criteria.
  • Pipeline Management: Assign and route personnel to active pre-sales opportunities based on project requirements, internal capabilities, and predefined qualification standards.
  • Technical Scope Analysis: Review and interpret RFPs, manufacturer specifications, technical publications, installation scopes, and other project documentation to identify critical requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and responsibilities.
  • Project Classification: Categorize opportunities by scope and complexity, distinguishing between local contracts, nationwide standardized rollouts, and multi-site deployments involving similar or diverse installation requirements.
  • AI-Assisted Document Review: Use approved AI applications to analyze large volumes of technical documentation, extract relevant information, and determine whether sufficient data is available to assess an opportunity's suitability.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with relevant stakeholders to clarify project requirements, resolve information gaps, and ensure opportunities reach the teams best equipped to respond.
  • Data Management and Administration: Maintain accurate Salesforce records, complete data entry and opportunity triage tasks, and follow structured processes to support efficient pipeline management.
  • Technical Knowledge Development: Continuously build knowledge of organizational capabilities, service offerings, technologies, and internal workflows to improve opportunity qualification and routing decisions.
  • Quality and Deadline Management: Deliver accurate, consistent work within established timelines while managing competing priorities and operating with minimal supervision.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify missing information, address process challenges, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of opportunity assessments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field is preferred.
  • One to three years of experience working with a systems integrator is preferred.
  • Experience in technical writing, proposal preparation, or the development of professional client-facing documentation is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and summarize technical documents, including RFPs, manufacturer specifications, installation scopes, and project requirements.
  • Introductory knowledge of systems integration technologies and services, including wired and wireless data and voice networking, physical security systems such as cameras, alarm panels and access control, audiovisual systems, and commercial electrical services.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather information, establish facts, identify inconsistencies, draw logical conclusions, and interpret technical or diagram-based instructions.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered applications and the ability to use approved tools to analyze documents, extract information, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers, prospects, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to data entry, opportunity qualification, documentation, and task prioritization.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage deadlines and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with sales, operations, and other internal teams.
  • A valid driver's license is required. A current U.S. passport is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences or team meetings, as needed.
  • Ability to work remotely or from an office, depending on performance and business needs.
Benefits
