This role sits at the intersection of advanced aerospace manufacturing, systems integration, and high-precision production engineering for next-generation electric air mobility. You will play a key role in bringing cutting-edge electric aircraft from design into scalable production, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems. Operating in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment, you will directly influence how innovative aircraft are assembled, tested, and certified. The position offers strong visibility across engineering, production, and quality teams, requiring close collaboration with design engineers and manufacturing technicians. You will help transform engineering concepts into repeatable, high-quality manufacturing processes while supporting FAA-compliant production standards. This is a high-impact role where your decisions directly shape safety, manufacturability, and the future of urban air mobility.
- Lead manufacturing process development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives across vehicle integration operations.
- Support production floor safety by identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Contribute to production planning, capacity analysis, line layout design, and execution of manufacturing operations.
- Assist technicians and production leads by providing hands-on manufacturing and technical support.
- Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing work instructions aligned with engineering and compliance requirements.
- Participate in engineering definition reviews, approvals, and release processes for production readiness.
- Design and implement shop aids, tooling, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap and rework.
- Collaborate closely with design engineering during prototyping and first article builds to ensure manufacturability and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant manufacturing or production engineering experience, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one CAD software and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems such as MES, engineering change systems, and quality management tools.
- Hands-on mechanical or electrical manufacturing experience in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 / Y14.100 drafting standards.
- Proven ability to solve complex manufacturing issues in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with BOMs, production workflows, and engineering documentation control.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Desired: experience in prototype manufacturing, FAA-certified production environments, or leadership/mentorship roles.
- Competitive base salary range: $115,900 – $198,900 per year, plus equity (RSUs).
