Job Description
Director of Career Services or Career Services Director works with students to help find and obtain their first jobs in their new career/field. This individual is focused on the career development of students and graduates while setting up relationships with prospective employers.
Duties to include but not limited to:
· Keeps placement records and gives reports to accreditation agencies, the administration, faculty, and students. The Director of Career Services manages aiding students in preparing for the workforce in their chosen career field.
· Collaborates with academic departments to aid with the placement of students in employment, work-study programs, internship, and externship opportunities.
· Meets or exceeds the required number of graduate placements through solicitation of job leads, graduate contacts, and appointments for interviews.
· Helps students in finding part-time work and monitors to be sure part-time employment does not interfere with progress toward graduation.
· Follow-up with students on job leads offered with potential employers.
· Ensures work-study and/or internships are coordinated effectively with proper documentation and commitment from all parties.
· Checks the progress of students who are interviewing and follows-up with employers and students to decide the outcome.
· Keeps an active lead generation system to ensure enough job opportunities are available for students and graduates.

Requirements:Sales or customer service background preferred.
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
