The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager and overseeing daily cafe operations to ensure the overall success of the cafe.

Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists in hiring and training of staffAssists in organizing staff schedulesHolds all employees accountable to Company standards in accordance with Company policyAssists in controlling costs in-line with Company expectationsEnsures food quality is high, speed of service is within Company standards, and guest experience is exceptionalDuties/Responsibilities:

Understand and administer all Another Broken Egg Cafe policies, procedures, standards, and expectationsin accordance with franchise guidelinesAssists the General Manager in overseeing cafe operations: from hiring, employee accountability, speed of service, order / par systems, labor cost, food cost, and guest experienceEnsure that all guests feel welcome, are given responsive, friendly, courteous, and exceptional service, and leave satisfied with their experienceWillingness to regularly serve in any hourly role as needed to ensure the cafe’s operational successTake responsibility for the quality of food served and service given to guests while also achieving Another Broken Egg’s objectives for sales and growthMaintain Another Broken Egg’ standards in terms of employment, including interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing, evaluating, and terminating based on Company policyContinually strive to develop all staff in managerial and professional skills, building Another Broken Egg’s future leadershipControl cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling, reconciliation, and daily deposit procedures in accordance with Another Broken Egg’s policiesAssist in administrative tasks in an organized and timely mannerFully understand and comply with federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the cafe, employees, and guestsCreate and maintain a fun, safe, and rewarding work environment for all Another Broken Egg Team MembersPerform other duties and support functions as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Supervisory and leadership skills with an emphasis on accountabilityExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer serviceExcellent time management skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelinesAble to perform hourly roles including the host and expedite positionsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Restaurant Management software platforms, and Point of Sale (POS) systemsEducation and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required3 years of previous restaurant experience required with a minimum of 1 year of management experience preferredAchieve a passing score on the ServSafe exam or possess a valid ServSafe certification

Physical Requirements:
