As a senior design leader, you will influence product direction, mentor other designers, and advocate for user needs throughout the development process.
The Staff Product Designer will lead the design of meaningful product experiences by combining research, strategy, interaction design, and collaboration. This role requires ownership of complex design challenges while helping elevate the broader design practice through mentorship and leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop deep expertise across multiple product areas and identify opportunities to improve user workflows.
- Conduct user research, interviews, journey mapping, task flows, and validation activities to understand customer needs.
- Create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs using modern design tools to explore and communicate solutions.
- Use AI-powered design tools and workflows to accelerate prototyping, explore concepts, and improve product development efficiency.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Design simple, elegant, and scalable solutions that address real user problems.
- Facilitate collaborative design sessions, including remote whiteboarding and iterative product exploration.
- Represent user needs in product strategy discussions and roadmap planning.
- Provide constructive design feedback and mentor junior designers to strengthen team capabilities.
- Champion human-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product designer with a strong background in creating user-centered experiences for complex digital products. They should bring advanced design expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence product decisions. Required qualifications and skills include:
- Experience designing modern SaaS, enterprise platforms, or comparable digital products.
- An exceptional portfolio demonstrating UX design, interaction design, visual design, research, and prototyping capabilities.
- Strong understanding of AI experience design, including creating workflows that feel clear, trustworthy, and controllable for users.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end iterative design processes, including research, user stories, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and high-fidelity design.
- Ability to solve complex product challenges through simple, effective design solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to explain design decisions and influence stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring designers and providing guidance that improves team performance.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong async communication practices.
