  • Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized, patient-centered rehabilitation and treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and other specialists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

  • Perform and interpret procedures such as EMGs, joint injections, and ultrasound-guided injections.

  • Manage acute and chronic pain using appropriate non-surgical treatment approaches.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response, functional improvement, and individual goals.

  • Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, rehabilitation plans, and recovery goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Optionally supervise and provide clinical guidance to advanced practice providers.

Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

  • Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license.

  • DEA license.

  • Fellowship training in pain medicine, sports medicine, spinal cord injury, brain injury, or musculoskeletal medicine is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency in diagnostic procedures such as EMG/NCS.

  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, or interventional procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

  • Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to develop individualized treatment strategies for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
