Facilities Maintenance Coordinator in Kalamazoo, Michigan at Gryphon Place

STATEMENT OF THE JOB:

Responsible for the maintenance and functionality of Gryphon Place Administration & Training Center and Direct Service Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform manual repairs and maintenance when necessary: Fix locks, doors, windows, painting, etc.
• Perform fundamentals of construction – frame and drywall repair
• Conduct general grounds upkeep & cleaning – Lawn maintenance, snow removal and landscaping
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems - Replace light bulbs, sockets, fixtures clean and repair circuit breaker panels.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Be able to move and or organize various items from within and without a building location.
• Perform preventive maintenance task and duties
• Be able to work with computers, tablets and smart phones
• Responsible for transporting and setting up for Gryphon Place major events
• Responsible for setting up training rooms for internal and external trainings
• Manage and coordinate work orders to assure completion

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Key Competencies:

• Computer Skills – Beginner-level Excel and Word
• Problem solving
• Organized

Education Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Other Qualifications:

• Good driving record
• Two years of prior experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a relevant field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintenance Technician will be required to stand, walk, sit, and squat for extended periods of time depending on the project.

Lifting of up to 50lbs may be required without assistance.
