This role offers an exciting opportunity to build advanced software and AI-driven systems that support mission-critical operations in secure and highly distributed environments. As a hands-on engineer, you will design and develop scalable applications, cloud-native infrastructure, and intelligent data systems that power analytics and simulation capabilities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to solve complex engineering challenges while contributing to secure, real-world deployments. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and focused on innovation, automation, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys full-stack engineering, distributed systems, and integrating AI/ML solutions into production-ready platforms. If you are passionate about building impactful systems with modern technologies, this opportunity offers strong technical growth and meaningful mission impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and runtime logic supporting mission applications and analytics systems
  • Build scalable software solutions using languages such as Java, Python, C++, or TypeScript/Angular
  • Develop clean, secure, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices
  • Architect and integrate modular microservices to enhance system scalability and interoperability
  • Deploy and manage containerized cloud-native services using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools to streamline deployments and system configuration
  • Develop distributed systems and real-time data integration frameworks using technologies such as Kafka and Redis
  • Integrate AI/ML models and analytics pipelines into operational runtime environments
  • Build and manage databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and graph databases
  • Support software testing, monitoring, sustainment, and deployment within secure or classified environments
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and mission teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational readiness
Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with DevSecOps, Zero-Trust, or RMF/ATO processes in regulated or defense-related environments
  • Strong background in full-stack development or systems engineering
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or TypeScript/Angular
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application development
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, messaging frameworks, and scalable architectures
  • Experience integrating analytics or AI/ML models into production systems
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, graph databases, and modern data exchange formats
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • Active Secret clearance is a plus, though eligibility to obtain one is required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in collaborative technical environments
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package ranging from $140,000 to $220,000 annually
  • Fully remote work flexibility
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical AI and software engineering projects
  • Exposure to advanced cloud, DevSecOps, and distributed systems technologies
  • Collaborative and innovation-driven engineering culture
  • Career growth and technical development opportunities
  • Participation in impactful, large-scale government and defense initiatives
  • Inclusive and equal opportunity workplace environment.
