Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Op & PACU
Full-Time | $47-$48/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
Location: East Norriton, PA 19403

What You'll Do
As a member of our clinical team, you will provide nursing care across pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery settings while collaborating closely with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals.
Patient Assessment & Clinical Care
  • Deliver nursing care using established standards of practice and the nursing process.
  • Accept responsibility and accountability for assigned patient care activities.
  • Complete comprehensive patient assessments and nursing histories.
  • Evaluate patient conditions utilizing knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs and other clinical findings.
  • Identify abnormal assessments, investigate concerns, and communicate findings to providers promptly.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and recovery progress.
  • Develop individualized plans of care and review them prior to the completion of each shift.
  • Include patients and family members in care discussions, treatment planning, and goal setting whenever appropriate.
Surgical & Recovery Support
  • Provide nursing support throughout the perioperative continuum, including pre-operative preparation and post-anesthesia recovery.
  • Promote patient safety through adherence to established policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Help maintain a safe and efficient procedural environment through collaboration with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Perform peripheral IV insertion, monitoring, and troubleshooting while following aseptic technique and best practices.
  • Supervise and provide direction to non-licensed support personnel when appropriate.
Communication & Coordination
  • Maintain professional communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Support continuity of care through thorough documentation and effective patient handoffs.
  • Utilize established care plans to guide therapeutic interventions and nursing activities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes.
Professional Development
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and clinical learning opportunities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, evidence-based practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support departmental operations.

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One (1) year of experience in PACU, ICU, ER, OR, procedural nursing, or other perioperative settings preferred required.
  • Demonstrated skill in peripheral IV placement, including vein selection, catheter insertion, aseptic technique, and complication monitoring required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or similar software.
  • Extensive experience observing, measuring, and interpreting patient vital signs and levels of consciousness.
  • Strong understanding of nursing standards, patient care principles, and clinical best practices.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
