Are you currently enrolled in a professional nursing program and looking to gain valuable hands-on hospital experience? Join our team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Student Nurse and build clinical skills while working alongside experienced Registered Nurses and healthcare professionals.
In this role, the PCT/Student Nurse assists licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care in accordance with the philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department, as well as hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
This position is ideal for nursing students seeking real-world experience in a hospital or acute care environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Hospital Patient Care Technician / Student Nurse, you will support the nursing team with essential direct patient care responsibilities, including:
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic care needs
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Supporting nurses with routine patient care tasks
• Observing patients and communicating changes to licensed nursing staff
• Maintaining a safe and organized patient care environment
• Providing compassionate customer service to patients and families
• Documenting patient information using electronic medical record systems
Your work helps ensure patients receive attentive and supportive care during their hospital stay.
Minimum Qualifications Education• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be currently enrolled in a professional nursing educational program
• Completion of at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation required
• Acute care or hospital experience preferred
• BLS Certification – Healthcare Provider required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
