Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are currently hiring experienced Aluminum MIG and TIG Welders to fabricate and assemble aluminum boat structures and components. This role requires precision, skill, and a strong understanding of welding techniques specific to aluminum. If you're detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and take pride in your work, we'd love to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum components, including pontoons, hull, and deck structures.
● Interpret and follow blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
● Inspect welded joints and structural components for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
● Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
● Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
● Collaborate with the production team, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to specifications.
● Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
● Identify and troubleshoot welding issues, making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results.
● Leverage MES to maintain accurate production records and material usage.
● Assist in other fabrication tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● High school diploma or GED equivalent.
● Proven experience as an aluminum MIG/TIG welder, preferably in a boat manufacturing
or marine environment.
● Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
● Strong knowledge of various welding techniques, processes, and equipment for
aluminum.
● Demonstrated ability to perform structural and cosmetic welds on aluminum.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
● Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
● Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
● Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and take direction.
