Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Inventory & Fulfillment Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations with primary responsibility for inventory accuracy, receiving, stock replenishment, and fulfillment execution. This position owns the integrity of inventory throughout the facility, ensuring products are received accurately, stored correctly, replenished efficiently, and available to support customer orders.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced e-commerce environment and is passionate about building processes that improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional attention to detail, and complete ownership of warehouse inventory from receiving through shipment.
Compensation:$22 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:Inventory Control & Ownership
Maintain full ownership of inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse.
Oversee all receiving processes to ensure products are accurately counted, inspected, labeled, and entered into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Lead daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs while investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Perform inventory reconciliations and root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring inventory issues.
Ensure inventory locations remain accurate, organized, and properly maintained.
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures that improve accuracy and reduce shrink.
Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate stock shortages or inventory concerns.
Manage inventory replenishment to ensure picking locations remain fully stocked.
Coordinate replenishment activities to minimize downtime and maximize order fulfillment efficiency.
Maintain organized overstock storage and ensure inventory is rotated appropriately.
Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and replenishment.
Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as business demands change.
Identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance coaching and provide regular feedback.
Ensure team members understand and follow company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on quality and operational excellence.
Inspect products and orders to maintain quality standards.
Investigate fulfillment errors, receiving mistakes, inventory variances, and shipping issues to determine root causes.
Recommend and implement process improvements that increase inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain warehouse organization using Lean and 5S principles where appropriate.
Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Production to ensure inventory availability and resolve inventory-related issues.
Communicate receiving delays, inventory shortages, damaged goods, and operational concerns in a timely manner.
Provide regular reporting on inventory accuracy, cycle counts, receiving performance, and warehouse KPIs.
Qualifications:Required
3+ years of warehouse supervisory or management experience.
Strong experience in inventory control, receiving, cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory reconciliation.
Experience managing inventory within a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Proven ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Experience supervising warehouse teams in a fast-paced distribution or e-commerce environment.
Strong leadership and employee development skills.
High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Experience in e-commerce fulfillment operations.
Knowledge of barcode scanning, handheld RF devices, and warehouse automation.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
