The Mortgage Processor III plays a key role in supporting a seamless mortgage application journey by managing complex loan processing activities from application through closing.
This position requires strong analytical skills, mortgage industry expertise, and the ability to evaluate loan documentation against product, underwriting, and investor requirements.
You will serve as a trusted communication partner between borrowers, loan officers, and internal and external stakeholders.

The Mortgage Processor III is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing mortgage loan applications while ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and delivering a smooth experience for customers and business partners.
- Manage mortgage loan applications by reviewing documentation, verifying information, and ensuring files meet product, underwriting, and investor requirements.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with borrowers, loan officers, realtors, settlement agents, and internal teams throughout the loan process.
- Collect, analyze, and validate required documentation, including employment verification, tax transcripts, title information, appraisals, bank statements, and other supporting materials.
- Monitor and evaluate credit reports, income documentation, appraisals, and loan conditions to identify potential issues and ensure application accuracy.
- Identify exceptions, risks, or irregularities and escalate concerns to appropriate stakeholders or management when necessary.
- Review and resolve loan conditions based on underwriting requirements and recommend solutions to support successful loan completion.
- Prepare and manage processing-related administrative tasks, including commitment letters, insurance reviews, loan notices, closing documentation, and processing checklists.
- Apply strong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate loan structures, fees, and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by adapting to updated policies, procedures, and workflow enhancements.

The ideal candidate is an experienced mortgage professional with strong knowledge of loan processing, regulatory requirements, and customer service practices. The role requires attention to detail, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 2–3 years of previous mortgage processing or underwriting experience.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, investor requirements, compliance standards, and loan documentation processes.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing borrower financial information, credit documentation, and loan conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on available information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, email platforms, and Adobe tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and systems in a changing mortgage environment.
- Competitive hourly compensation range of $20.55–$34.25 USD, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
