We’re looking for self-motivated, innovative engineers who thrive in dynamic, collaborative teams and are eager to contribute across the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Full Stack Application Development Develop and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and backend services leveraging open-source technologies and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Data & Analytics Pipeline Construction Implement pipelines for business intelligence, trend analysis, and code quality monitoring.
• DevOps & Infrastructure Practices Engage in Agile ceremonies, drive CI/CD automation, implement DevSecOps and observability best practices, and own products throughout their lifecycle.
• Technical Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Create and maintain clear product documentation, contribute to knowledge bases, and participate in technical communities.
• Mentorship & Collaboration Provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business goals and user needs.



Qualifications

• Full Stack Development
• Proficiency with programming language (ex: Python) and front-end frameworks/libraries (ex: React, Angular, TypeScript/Modern Java Script)
• Using deployment automation technologies such as Terraform or Scalr.
• Automated testing frameworks and practices
• CI/CD systems, preferably with GitLab
• Experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, Lex, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and serverless architecture
• Strong foundation of software engineering principles: object-oriented design, functional programming, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ROSA), DevSecOps, and automated testing (TDD/BDD)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/ROSA) and DevSecOps best practices
• Ability to write clear, thorough technical documentation and test case
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a bias toward action to improve user experience.
• Demonstrates initiative in learning new technologies and contributing to team knowledge through code reviews and collaboration sessions.

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $85,500 - $125,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
