Description: Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Clinic | Up to $7,000 Sign-On Bonus | Flexible Schedule

We are seeking a compassionate, innovative, and collaborative Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing outpatient therapy clinic serving children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and other pediatric conditions.   • Location: Wichita, KS
  • Hours: Monday - Friday
  • Schedule: Full time, Part time, or PRN Days
  • Requirements: 2 years of pediatric experience
The Position

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist provides evidence-based occupational therapy services to children in an outpatient clinical setting. The OT evaluates, develops, and implements individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-regulation, activities of daily living (ADLs), visual motor skills, feeding skills, and overall functional independence. This role partners closely with families and interdisciplinary team members to support developmental progress and improve quality of life for children with diverse pediatric therapy needs.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Evaluation & Treatment
  • Conduct standardized and non-standardized occupational therapy evaluations
  • Assess sensory processing, fine motor development, self-help skills, visual motor integration, and functional performance
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
  • Provide evidence-based interventions for children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, and neurodevelopmental disabilities
  • Adapt treatment plans based on progress, outcomes, and family goals
Family-Centered Care & Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with children and caregivers
  • Educate families on home exercise programs, sensory strategies, and developmental support techniques
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete timely evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and data tracking
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements and clinical best practices
Professional Development & Team Collaboration
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education
  • Stay current with evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy practices
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven clinical environment
Requirements: Qualifications
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or eligibility for licensure required
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • 2 years of pediatric clinical experience required
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder, sensory integration, feeding therapy, or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical reasoning skills

Work Environment:

  • Environment: Indoor and outdoor work environments
  • Safety Compliance & PPE Requirements: Adherence to safety protocols and protective gear use as needed. Use of Heartspring standard PPE, with additional protective gear (e.g., gloves, helmets, arm guards, leg guards) provided as warranted.
  • Physical Interactions & Exposure Risks: Possible exposure to physical interactions from clients, including slapping, hitting, punching, kicking, head-butting, and biting. Potential exposure to infectious diseases, parasites, bodily fluids, and blood-borne pathogens in a clinic setting.
