The Role
GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Licensed Locksmith to join our valued client's team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time, permanent position offering steady work, an hourly rate of $35.00, and overtime opportunities through an on-call rotation.
As the on-site locksmith, you will install, service, and repair a full range of mechanical and electronic locking systems, respond to service calls across the region, and deliver reliable, professional workmanship on every job. This role suits a licensed tradesperson who takes pride in quality work and enjoys the variety of hands-on field service.
What You'll Do
  • Install, repair, rekey, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking systems
  • Cut, duplicate, and program keys, including high-security and transponder keys
  • Respond to on-call service requests, including lockouts and emergency access
  • Assess client security needs and recommend appropriate hardware solutions
  • Service and troubleshoot door hardware, deadbolts, closers, and access control systems
  • Maintain accurate service records and manage parts and material inventory
  • Travel to client sites across the Edmonton area to complete on-site work
  • Follow all safety procedures and represent GrizzlyTrek professionally on every job
What You Bring
  • Valid locksmith license
  • Demonstrated experience in the locksmith trade
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electronic locking systems
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize service calls
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the trade, including lifting, kneeling, and standing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automotive key programming and transponder systems
  • Familiarity with electronic access control and security systems
  • Membership or certification through a recognized locksmith association
  • Bondable
Work Environment
  • Combination of shop-based and on-site field work across the Edmonton service area
  • Regular travel to client locations, so a reliable vehicle and clean abstract are essential
  • On-call rotation with overtime opportunities based on service demand
