Job Description
J. Thomas Property Services specializes in commercial small projects, including tenant improvements, interior build-outs, renovations, and property repairs. Our team partners with contractors and property managers to deliver reliable, high-quality work through strong communication, accountability, and efficient project execution.
About the role
The Building Engineer is a roving, multi-trade commercial maintenance professional responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of a portfolio of commercial properties throughout Montgomery County.
This is not a stationary facility role. Engineers travel between assigned properties, manage their own work order queue, respond to maintenance needs, and provide reliable support across multiple commercial buildings.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting a variety of building systems, and using technology to document work, communicate updates, and manage daily responsibilities.
Portfolio types include retail, office buildings, and outpatient medical facilities.
