Respite Aide (Per Diem) in Rochester, New York at Holy Childhood

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing direct support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with personal care, recreational activities, and daily living skills while ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment that promotes independence and quality of life.

What You’ll Do…
•Learns the specific strategies required for each program participant.
•Assists with program materials as requested.
•Implements behavior strategies as directed by the Respite Coordinator.
•Participates in aquatics activities when requested.
•Attends staff and in-service meetings as appropriate.
•Follows directions regarding activities/responsibilities identified by the Respite Coordinator.
•Complete training in a timely manner and maintain a clean and secure program environment

What You’ll Need…
•High school diploma.
•Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, preferred.

When You’ll Work…
•This role is per diem, and hours can change based on family need.
•Must be available 2:30-5:30pm during the school year and school breaks 8:30-3:00pm.
