Responsibilities
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This position currently offers a combination of hybrid in-office & virtual work arrangements per management discretion. We are looking for qualified candidates local to central OH (& the surrounding area) as there will be an in-office component as needed.
Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Specialist performs various accounts payable functions including invoice entry (matching, batching, and coding), research and resolution of customer or vendor issues, check management and disbursement control, and maintenance of certain account reconciliations. Key skills include knowledge and application of accounting principles and accounts payable, analytical techniques, and preparation of monthly reports and Oracle
Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to the Supervisor of Accounts Payable. Has direct contact with CFO, Corporate Controller and various operating managers.
Essential Functions:
- Process Accounts Payable Invoices (matching, batching, coding, and system entry).
- Audit invoices, checks and statements prior to imaging the documents.
- Assist with the imaging of manual entry documents, in compliance with the once-per-week Image pickup schedule.
- Support plant accountants to resolve issues with invoice images, purchase orders and payments.
- Process returned checks and send notification to the Supplier Maintenance team of any remittance address updates.
- Support Accounts Payable Manager and perform other duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibility:
- Accounts payable management requirements for multiple organizations within the company with the invoice volume of hundreds per week.
Position Qualifications:
- Strong Oracle experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Maturity to interact with all levels of the organization

- Good planning and organizational skills

- Problem solving and analytical insight
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- 1 to 2 years accounts payables experience preferred.
