Department: Products / Field Services

Reports To: EVP of Products & Co-Founder

FLSA Status: Exempt

Travel: Frequent – up to 50% depending on project load

Role Purpose

The Field Services Manager leads the successful deployment, and installation of Falcon’s modular structures at customer sites nationwide. This role serves as Falcon’s primary on-site representative and is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, ensuring code compliance, maintaining quality standards, and delivering a safe, efficient, and professional installation experience for customers and partners.

This position bridges Production, Quality, and Customer teams to ensure projects leave Falcon Structures ready for seamless field execution and are completed on-site in alignment with Falcon’s standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Field Installation & Project Execution

  • Travel to project locations to plan, manage, and execute set-up, installation, and commissioning of Falcon’s modular units.
  • Lead day-to-day on-site operations including scheduling, sequencing of trades, and oversight of installation activities.
  • Serve as the on-site project lead and primary Falcon point of contact for customers, general contractors, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Recruit, vet, and hire qualified local subcontractors and trades to support installation needs.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, safety compliance, and workmanship to ensure adherence to Falcon standards.
  • Coordinate site logistics including equipment, staging, tools, materials, and deliveries.
  • Monitor timelines and proactively address risks to maintain schedule.

Compliance, Inspections & Quality

  • Work directly with local/county/state inspectors and third-party agencies (AHJs) to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
  • Prepare sites for inspections and ensure documentation and corrective actions are completed promptly.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC and Production to address installation issues, field rework, and root-cause prevention.
  • Lead punch list creation, tracking, and resolution through project closeout.
  • Provide field feedback to engineering and production teams to improve design, constructability, and future installations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with General Contractors and end-users to address issues and maintain strong working relationships.
  • While at Falcon facilities, work alongside and shadow inspection agencies during production inspections (pre-inspections, open-wall inspections, finals) to ensure field readiness.
  • Assist and provide technical guidance to Production staff on field-related requirements, installation best practices, and constructability.

Safety & Risk Management

  • Enforce Falcon’s safety policies and OSHA standards at all job sites.
  • Ensure subcontractors maintain proper licensing and safe work practices.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a welding certification program for Fabrication and Hot Work personnel.
  • Support development and documentation of field installation standards, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Assist the QA/QC department with audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in new product testing, pilot installations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support training of internal staff and subcontractors on Falcon installation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May directly supervise field technicians or temporary labor as assigned
  • Provides functional oversight of subcontractors and trade partners
  • Leads field crews and coordinates multi-trade teams

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent field experience
  • 5+ years of construction, field services, modular installation, or site management experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi-trade crews
  • Experience working with building inspections and regulatory compliance

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination
  • Working knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and permitting processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and field decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools

Certifications (preferred but not required)

  • OSHA 30
  • Welding inspection or certification credentials
  • First Aid/CPR

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent travel and extended time on job sites
  • Outdoor and industrial environments in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate active construction sites
  • Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and operating equipment as needed
