General Description of Position:

Clearwave Fiber is seeking a Director of Enterprise Sales to build and directly manage a growing team of frontline enterprise sales professionals within our Strategic Commercial team. This leader will drive new customer acquisition and account growth among medium and large businesses across our 12-state footprint and new markets as we expand.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for recruiting, training, coaching, and team sales performance. The Director will set sales strategy, work alongside sellers to advance complex opportunities, and partner across the business to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and align with Clearwave Fiber’s capabilities.

What You’ll Do

Build and Lead the Team

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop enterprise sellers across existing and expanding markets.
  • Directly manage frontline sellers through regular one-on-ones, deal reviews, customer meetings, and field coaching.
  • Coach the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through solution positioning, negotiation, and closing.
  • Set clear performance expectations, address gaps, and recognize achievement.
  • Build a positive, competitive, collaborative, and fun culture that supports accountability, development, and retention.

Drive Enterprise Growth

  • Develop and execute enterprise sales plans aligned with Strategic Commercial revenue goals.
  • Prioritize territories, industries, and target accounts to drive new customer acquisition and existing account expansion.
  • Guide account strategies for complex businesses with multiple locations and decision-makers.
  • Engage customers and executive stakeholders directly, supporting major proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Use market insights and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.

Own Sales Performance and Execution

  • Own team quota attainment, revenue growth, pipeline generation, and seller productivity.
  • Conduct disciplined pipeline and forecast reviews, emphasizing opportunity qualification, stage progression, time in stage, clear next steps, and close-date accuracy.
  • Ensure consistent use of CRM, dashboards, and sales reporting.
  • Help develop and implement sales playbooks that standardize effective prospecting, account planning, and sales execution.
  • Use performance and conversion trends to guide coaching and improve results.

Partner Across the Business

  • Partner with Sales Engineering to align solutions with customer requirements and network capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Service Delivery, and the Project Management Office (PMO) to set clear expectations, support customer handoffs, and enable successful implementations.
  • Work with Marketing on targeted campaigns and enterprise market development.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other partners on pricing, contracts, and business decisions.
  • Resolve cross-functional issues affecting sales execution or the customer experience.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Seven or more years of B2B sales experience in telecommunications, fiber, connectivity, technology, or related solutions.
  • Three or more years directly managing quota-carrying sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales targets and growing revenue with medium and large business customers.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing sellers and leading geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience guiding complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong skills in account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or scaling an enterprise sales team across multiple markets.
  • Background selling fiber-based telecommunications and connectivity solutions.
  • Success engaging executive decision-makers and winning multi-location business.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM and sales reporting tools.

  • Team quota attainment, enterprise revenue growth, and customer acquisition and expansion.
  • Pipeline coverage, quality, conversion, and forecast accuracy.
  • Seller productivity, new-hire readiness, and time to productivity.
  • Team development, engagement, and retention.
  • Consistent execution of sales playbooks, CRM standards, and customer handoffs.

Work Environment and Travel

Travel throughout Clearwave Fiber’s 12-state and expanding footprint is required for customer meetings, field coaching, recruiting, and team development. This role requires effective leadership of a geographically distributed team in a fast-paced, growing telecommunications business.
