***This is an onsite TEMPORARY role - 6 to 8 weeks assignment***
Responsibilities:
- Validate and process lottery prize claims by verifying player eligibility, age, and identity using secure verification tools and IRS TIN matching systems.
- Prepare, approve, and distribute prize payments via checks or prepaid debit cards, ensuring compliance with Lottery and IRS standards.
- Manage cash handling operations, including balancing drawers, daily deposits, and reconciliation of claims activity.
- Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, ensuring secure storage of sensitive winner information and adherence to audit policies.
- Respond to player inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy, ensuring an engaging and positive claimant experience.
- Monitor and balance instant ticket inventory, ticket vending machines, and SCIQ systems, ensuring efficient claims center operations.
Requirements:
- High school/GED and 1 year of experience in customer service, cash handling, or operating in an office environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and maintaining professionalism under pressure
Hiring Range: $17 - 20/hr
