Description
Reporting to the Director, Sales DACH, this role partners closely with the Inside Sales and Technical Sales teams to drive the company’s overall business strategy. It is responsible for developing and executing effective sales plans to maximise revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen the company’s position as a strategic supplier to key regional customers.
The successful candidate will ideally be located within or in close proximity to the designated postcodes (4,5,6) for this role.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage customer activities within the defined region, working closely with the Technical Sales Manager and Inside Sales Representatives to introduce Rochester Electronics products, expand the customer portfolio, and deliver against the agreed business development plan.
- Identify and target new customers, build strong relationships, and develop strategies using all available resources to grow the account base within the specified region.
- Generate leads, qualify business opportunities, and deliver compelling business presentations.
- Maintain accurate and timely forecasting of new business opportunities and regional revenue.
- Ensure the CRM system is consistently updated and effectively maintained on a daily basis.
- Provide high-quality communication and service to the customer base, while effectively coordinating internally to prioritise active business opportunities.
- Travel within the assigned region is required, with a minimum of 50% expected.

Requirements
- A BA or BS degree in Electronics or a related field would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, and account management within the electronic components or semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing a large territory while working remotely or from a virtual office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage and collaborate with internal teams, business partners, and suppliers.
- Proven track record of engaging key decision-makers and influencers, including successfully closing complex deals with customers and partners.
- Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and maintain focus with minimal supervision.
- Driven and proactive, with a strong passion for business and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Positive attitude, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with intermediate to advanced skills required.
OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must hold a full current driving license
- Must be able and willing to travel (50 to 60% of travel)
