General Helper - 3rd Shift in Heath, Ohio at AMPACET CORP

Primary Function:

The general helper assists and relieves Production Technicians and performs other work as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Production Technicians on the job to which he/she is assigned.
• Performs proper forklift operation.
• Obeys all Company rules, policies and procedures and stays alert to potential safety hazards.
• Maintains a healthy, positive attitude towards the Company and management.
• Keeps the Shift Supervisor informed of work status and safety concerns.
• Maintains proper communications with management and fellow employees.
• Recognizes potential problems and reports issues/concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
• Reports items that require repair or adjustment to the Shift Supervisor.
• Relieves Production Technicians for breaks and lunch periods.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
• Determines and secures supplies needed to perform assigned tasks.
• Responsible for mix container washing.
• All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

• High School education required; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must have ability to operate manufacturing equipment as required.
• Must be able to read, understand and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Independent Self-Starter/Team Player.
• Mathematical Skills: General Arithmetic/Percentages/Fractions.
• Advanced English: Fluent speaking, reading and writing.
• Computer Skills: able to report and analyze information.

• Wears and properly utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, PAPRs, ear plugs, steel-toed boots, protective gloves, fall protection devices and/or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
• Must successfully pass a company physical.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Be capable of twisting, bending, stooping, standing, walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, sometimes using steps or ladders.
• Be able to work in adverse weather conditions/temperatures.
