In this role, you will work on designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, enabling the ingestion, processing, and availability of large and complex datasets. Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines covering ingestion, processing, integration, storage, and data delivery.
  • Work with large-scale distributed data processing systems to handle high-volume and heterogeneous data sources.
  • Develop data processing solutions using Python and PySpark in Big Data environments.
  • Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Design and optimize relational and dimensional data models for Data Warehousing solutions.
  • Work with SQL databases, ensuring efficient querying and data management.
  • Operate and support Big Data AWS ecosystem tools such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and search/log analytics tools like Elasticsearch.
  • Work with event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for real-time data processing.
  • Contribute to Data Lake and DataOps practices to improve automation, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Participate in system design discussions for distributed and MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) architectures.
  • Ensure best practices in data engineering, including testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Solid experience in data ingestion, processing, integration, and storage of large-scale datasets.
  • Proven experience in Big Data projects and distributed data processing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Python for data extraction and manipulation, including PySpark.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and pipelines.
  • Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling (Data Warehouse concepts).
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Big Data ecosystem tools such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and AWS Glue.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka and data streaming architectures.
  • Understanding of Data Lake and DataOps principles.
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and attention to data quality.
