Job Description
Summary/Objective
- The Supply Technician will support the SemperServe team at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. This role performs a wide range of physical, technical, and administrative duties and responsibilities in providing essential support services to specifically assigned clients and areas.
- Performs a wide range of technical and administrative duties and responsibilities in providing essential support services.
- Assist with the daily program management of the DoS Parking Program
- Issue and distribute parking permits.
- Conduct daily surveys of the utilization of the DoS parking Facilities.
- Draft Correspondence and prepare statistical reports and assist in responding to emails.
- Make detailed recommendations concerning measures required to improve the parking program and services.
- Research, collect, assemble, interpret, and analyze data of the Parking Program.
- Assists the Program Manager with developing and in-house Parking Program database application.
- Must be able to adapt to last-minute changes to ensure the highest customer service standards.
- Must be able to perform event setups, monitoring work in progress and conduct of on-site surveys and inspection of work in buildings and annexes.
- Must be able to work under pressure to ensure customer satisfaction and possess sound judgement and tact (i.e., justifying, negotiating, and resolving controversial issues and problems.)
- Work closely with Project Manager.
Physical Demands
· Able to work in a Parking Garage and also an Office Environment
· Must be able to Stand, Walk, Sit for long and prolonged periods of time.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Required
- Some travel required.
Required Education & Experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of two or more Microsoft Office/PC applications.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in customer service, administrative support, or clerical position.
- Possess knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address client’s needs.
- Possess intermediate computer skills, including faxing, scanning, and emailing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
