About the Position:
Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for organizing departmental workflow, supervising maintenance staff, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment across campus facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor serves as a key leader within the Facilities team, supporting operational excellence while delivering Best-in-Class service to clients, guests, and staff.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Must be available to respond to emergency situations and work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Your Role:
- Lead and direct the daily activities of the Maintenance Department, assigning and prioritizing work using the ServiceNow work order management system.
- Coordinate and assist with preventive maintenance programs, repairs, and aesthetic upkeep of Mountainside facilities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and oversee maintenance of HVAC systems, furnaces, air conditioners, appliances, kitchen equipment, and other campus mechanical assets.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to determine when specialized contractors or trade technicians are required and coordinate service activities.
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance staff through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage personnel matters in accordance with Mountainside policies and the progressive discipline process.
- Monitor department inventory and procure tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, labor allocation, and resource management to meet operational demands.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, safety standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain facility records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Assist with department budget management in coordination with the Facilities Manager.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of facilities or property maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, facilities maintenance, and grounds operations.
- Experience with facility management software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, carrying, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Background in facilities maintenance, electronic asset management, or related trades preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $66,000 - $76,000 annually based on qualifications. Actual compensation is determined by job-related factors including skills, education, training, certifications, experience, scope of responsibilities, performance, and geographic location.
