Responsibilities
While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984. RS&H’s Transportation-Construction Management Practice serves numerous state departments of transportation, mobility/transportation authorities, turnpike/toll authorities, rail/port authorities, municipal/county governments, and private clients throughout the United States. Our Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) teams as well as our Construction Management teams are industry leading experts who provide a full range of construction engineering, program management, specialized testing, and inspection services from the preconstruction phase through maintenance and operations. Qualifications
We are seeking a Contract Support Specialist (CSS) for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Wildwood/Orlando, FL area.
As a Contract Support Specialist (CSS), you will monitor the contractor’s construction activities and materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, is enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and dependable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the work
- Prepare and process monthly and final pay estimates
- Ensure all calculations are correct and conform with contract requirements
- Track all pay quantities
- Verify dimensions of completed work
- Process Contract Change Orders and Supplemental Agreements
- Review and Approve all materials incorporated into the project by certification, testing, or other approved methods
- Perform EEO compliance verification
Requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience; or have a Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degree.
- Have a passion for the construction management field and experience in road and bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) project related duties (e.g., progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, and processing construction contract changes).
- Be experienced in the use of standard word processing software.
- Possess organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and communications skills.
- Have the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others.
- Materials Acceptance Database Software – MAC or equivalent
- Project daily work reporting software – SiteManager
- Project Database for files – LIMS, Project Solve
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames
Preferred Certifications / Credentials:
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II
- OSHA 10 Hour
