Position Description:
What You'll Do

Design Excellence Develop electrical engineering designs for industrial renovation projects, creating construction drawings, performing essential calculations, and writing technical specifications under senior engineer mentorship.

Technical Development Master fault current calculations, electrical demand load analysis, voltage drop studies, and conduit/feeder sizing while building expertise in heat trace design for industrial applications.

Documentation Mastery Create comprehensive electrical documentation including single lines, area classification development, plan drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction scopes of work.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 1-5 years in industrial and petrochemical industry
  • Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft applications proficiency
  • Learning Ability: Electrical modeling software (SKM, ETAP), lighting/heat trace design applications
  • Code Knowledge: National Electrical Code familiarity
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain TWIC card, valid for travel
Essential Requirements
  • Professional registration (Engineer In Training) preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • AutoCAD experience (preferred but not required)
  • Self-checking work product capabilities
  • Mentorship receptiveness and guidance-following ability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
  • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
  • Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require.
  • Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.).
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
  • Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
