Position Summary

AGSE is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to perform inspection and verification of supplier documentation, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and LEAP license requirements. This role combines hands-on inspection with documentation review to ensure suppliers provide complete certifications, dimensional verification, and certificates of conformance.

You will work closely with suppliers, Quality Engineers, and Engineering to resolve discrepancies, address non-conforming material, and support customer certification requirements. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tool & Product Inspection

• Perform visual inspections and paperwork audits of supplier-provided tools and components

• Verify suppliers provide required material certifications, deviations, dimensions, and certificates of conformance

• Conduct inspections based on inspection plans generated by Quality Engineers

• Identify and document non-conforming products through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

2. Non-Conformance & Supplier Interaction

• Communicate discrepancies and rejections to suppliers

• Work with suppliers to resolve missing paperwork and documentation issues

• Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Engineering to resolve technical or drawing interpretation discrepancies

3. Customer Support & Certification

• Complete customer certification packages for outbound shipments

• Support documentation and inspection requirements related to customer audits

4. Internal Audits & Process Support

• Perform internal process audits as assigned

• Support calibration activities, SOP revisions, and quality improvement initiatives

• Provide recommendations for process improvements and error-proofing opportunities

Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree or equivalent technical education, OR 7 years of inspection experience in lieu of degree

• Minimum 3 years of inspection experience in a technical, mechanical, or quality-related role

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications

• High mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills

• Experience with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and documentation tracking

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and errors

Preferred

• Experience working independently in inspection environments

• Aerospace, tooling, distribution, or precision assembly experience

• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or other quality management systems

• Experience supporting customer certification packages or external audits

• Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement methods

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000-80,000

• Bonus: Up to 10% discretionary

Work Environment

This role is on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio 45215. Employees work primarily in an office environment while interacting regularly with customers, suppliers, and internal departments. Occasional visits to manufacturing or warehouse areas may be required. This role deals with international customers and vendors, and off hours may be required at times. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
